My Story...
My name is Evelyn Smith, and I am based in Sidney, Ohio. In August 2020, a devastating accident occurred, leaving me paraplegic and altering my life irrevocably. This event took a significant toll on me, stripping away my previous way of life. Despite these challenges, I dedicated myself to intensive rehabilitation, eventually regaining the use of my fingers, arms, and some core strength - but still relying on a wheelchair.
Approximately a year into my recovery, I turned to prayer, seeking guidance on my purpose and how I might contribute positively to the world despite my physical limitations and the adversities I faced. During a particularly challenging period, when my vehicle failed, and I was forced to secure a rental van at a considerable expense, I conceived the idea of launching a venture to provide affordable hourly van rentals. This service would cater to individuals facing similar challenges who find conventional vehicles inaccessible. My son provided invaluable financial and moral support during this time. Upon discussing this business concept with my son William, he encouraged me to recognize the potential impact of such a service. Our friends and family also endorsed the idea enthusiastically.
Reflecting on my journey, I am reminded of the freedoms I once took for granted and the importance of mobility for those without access to suitable transportation. My recovery, though gradual, has been a testament to perseverance, faith, and the unwavering support of my loved ones.
